They fell in love with the resort, the people and the skiing and then purchased a vacation home on the mountain that summer. After years of dreaming and planning they took the plunge and purchased the old Vantage Inn with the desire to renovate it and bring it back to life again as the Corduroy Inn. It was such an ideal location and they knew that with some love and attention it could be someplace special yet again. Kristin, David, Lindsay, and Kate Billings hope that many people visit Snowshoe for their first time and possibly stay at the Corduroy Inn and fall in love with the area as much as they did!
Corduroy Inn & Lodge is ideally located right next to the Powder Monkey chairlift, and across the street from Snowshoe’s famous Western Territory. The family-owned Corduroy Inn is Snowshoe’s only boutique hotel. With its private hearth room and dedicated concierge staff, the Corduroy Inn offers a high level of service and convenience to its guests. Being located steps away from the slopes and a short 5-minute walk from the main village, the Corduroy Inn & Lodge is the ideal location for your Snowshoe vacation.
The site of the old Vantage Inn and Red Fox restaurant, the property received a major renovation during the summer of 2014. Along with its new name, the property got a complete facelift on all existing buildings, plus the addition of a Hearth Room and a pizza restaurant called the Pizza Slice. All 12 Corduroy Inn rooms were completely renovated while maintaining the rustic charm of West Virginia. All Inn hotel rooms have stone fireplaces, fine linens, and a kitchenette with in-room espresso TM Coffee.
In 2019, we broke ground on the new Corduroy Lodge located adjacent to the original Corduroy Inn to complete the Corduroy Inn & Lodge opened in 2020. The lodge is four stories and offers rooms with Eastern or Western views of Snowshoe Mountain Resort. All lodge rooms have a modern, elegant design. There are different types of rooms like larger suites, studios, and the option to have adjoining rooms to fit every visitor's needs. Located on the fourth floor is a panoramic banquet hall which is a must-see in Snowshoe and the highest venue in the Southeast. Guests in both the Lodge and the Inn are now offered breakfast service during the winter in the top-floor banquet hall.
The property's amenities include onsite check-in and concierge in the private hearth room. Each room has free high-speed internet and satellite TV with over 120 channels. Hotel guests also get access to Snowshoe's Split Rock Pools located in the main village. The property also boasts three top-rated onsite restaurants. Tuque's Bar & Grill serves pizza, upscale food, and a variety of drinks from beer to inventive cocktails. The Pizza Slice offers to go wood-fired pizza, salads, and gelato. Appalachia Kitchen is the spot for upscale dining on the mountain and a popular choice amongst locals and guests.
